Expository Essays: Just the Facts

      The ideas in an expository essay are organized in logical manner. Order of importance and order of familiarity are two of the most frequently used forms of logical arrangement for expository essays. Although the paragraphs in expository essay can be developed in many different ways, some of the most common methods of paragraph development are:

      In a persuasive essay, the writer tries to convince the person who reads to accept a thought or agree with an opinion. The writer’s purpose is to induce the reader that her or his point of outlook is a reasonable one. The persuasive essay should be write in a style that grab and holds the reader’s attention and the writer’s view should be backed up by strong supporting details.
